The Irish Critic (Jackie Mazan) joins Steve & Denise for a full episode. "Requiem for a Dream" inspires her to hint at her own drug usage. Did she get as bad as Ellen Burstyn?

Does the Irish Critic have both arms?

Is Ellen Burstyn as good in this as Deniro was in "Raging Bull"?

Did Julia Roberts rob Ellen Burstyn?

Is this movie re-watchable?

Is this 2000's "Manchester by the Sea"

How come celebrities only come around when Denise isn't around?

All these questions and more get covered on this week's episode of the Mazan Movie Club talking about Darren Aaronofsky's dark masterpiece.

2001's Amelie hits the Mazan Movie Club. Comedian (and Dr.) Laura Hayden joins Steve & Denise to discuss this French movie that took the film world by storm. Is it too cute for it's own good?

How fun is quirky?

Is this the antithesis of the cringe humor trend?

Can anyone else wear Amelie's hair?

Could anyone else have played this role?

Is this a chick flick?

Do we need to call doctors "Dr..."?

All these questions and way more get answered on this week's Mazan Movie Club!

The most polarizing film we've come across on our countdown yet! Stanley Kubrick makes his 3rd appearance on the Mazan Movie Club and not everyone is happy about it.

Are any WOMEN a fan of this movie?

Is Stanley Kubrick a fan of ANY women?

What genre would you put this in?

Is this a young man's movie?

Why does some guy at Starbuck's jump into our conversation? Did that guy just invent "Pod-Bombing"?

Horror Fan/Writer/Blogger Josh Soriano, and fellow cinephile & repeat guest Rick Ramos, join Steve Mazan to answer all this and more.

Travis Bickle joins the podcast...temporarily. Then Comedian Lee Levine jumps in to review and discuss "Taxi Driver" after watching it for the first time.

Host Steve Mazan and Lee try and figure out why Travis owed that black driver five bucks. Was Travis a hero at all? Was he in Vietnam?

Are there people that think "Apocalypse Now" is pro-war?

Was it weird that there was sitcom called "Taxi" in production just a year after this?

How hot was Cybil Shepherd?

What's up with that ending?

What does Mr. T. Have to do with all of this?

Scorsese follows up "Mean Streets" in style and even more grit and violence.

Plus our Movie Mazan Club members take the driver's seat to chime in!

David Lean's 1962 Best Picture winner gets the movie club treatment, and a lot of clubbers list this as one of their favorites: "Lawrence of Arabia"

Lawrence gets asked, "Who are you"...but we ask where are all the women?

Is three and a half hours too long for a movie? Do we need an intermission for the on demand video version?

Should Lawrence have told the Arabs they were pronouncing his name wrong?

Was Lawrence a traitor? Does it matter?

Do you need to see this on the big screen?

Is the Irish Critic a pushover for a handsome man?

Is Arabia any different from the hundred years ago these events took place, or the 50yrs since the movie was made?

Should this film be way closer to the top than #83?

All these questions and more get covered on this week's Mazan Movie Club with returning favorite guest Reese Golchin, Denise Mazan and Steve Mazan.

Hosts Steve Mazan and Denise Mazan use Billy Wilder's "Double Indemnity" as a jumping off point to discuss the entire film noir category. Denise thinks she doesn't like the genre, but is it just B&W films she doesn't?

Why does everyone think "Double Jeopardy" is a remake of this?

Is Barbara Stanwyck sexy or handsome?

Are Fred Macmurray and Edward G. Robinson really in love with each other?

Should you always watch a movie til the end? And what DVD did Denise break in the middle of watching it?

All these questions and a lot more are answered on this week's Mazan Movie Club!

Is this Jim Carrey's best serious role?

Would you wanna be in a serious relationship with Kate Winslet's wacky character?

Can you believe the Hulk is in this?

Should a movie immediately be on your best list if you got a surprise handjob while watching it?

Tim Mingus joins host Steve Mazan to answer all these questions and many more. Steve hadn't seen the movie in a few years but remembered it being in his personal top 10. Did rewatching it change that placement?

All is covered in this magical but hard to classify Charlie Kaufman/Michel Gondry film from 2004, #85 on IMDB "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind"

MMC #87 "To Kill a Mockingbird"

Is Atticus the father you'd want to be? Is childhood like this anymore? What's Boo Radley's deal? Is John Grisham a copycat?

Why is this movie titled "Amadeus"? Why use Mozart's middle name? Why not "Mozart"? Why not "Wolfgang"? Hell, why not "Salieri"?

Milos Forman makes his 1st of two appearances on IMDB's Top 100 list. Making a 2nd appearance is guest Reese Golchin who joins Steve and Denise Mazan live to discuss this 1984 Best Picture winner.

It won 8 Oscars including Picture, Director, Actor and Screenplay.  But should it be in the Top 100 of all time?

Is the Irish critic injured somewhere? Do we have MMC members in the Philippines?

All these questions and way more are discussed on a Facebook Live edition of The Mazan Movie Club.

Does this Pixar classic break the rules?

Actor/Improvisor Chris Duffy & his 11yr/old son Liam SKYPE in from the East Coast to talk about one of the best sequels ever with Steve & Denise Mazan. Is this THE best sequel ever? Is it the best Animated movie ever? Or not even the best Pixar film.

Is it possible to cry through a whole movie? What part got you?

Is Ken the best addition the toys? Did you own any of these toys?

All these questions are asked...and some even get answered.

Stanley Kubrick makes his 2nd appearance on the list...or is it his 2nd and 3rd because this is really two movies mushed into one? Do YOU like both halves?

The Irish Critic (Steve's Mom) is in studio for the critique of this Kubrick masterpiece(?). Denise Mazan joins in too, fresh off a viewing of the 1987 Vietnam War movie.

Was Matthew Modine miscast? Was anyone ever more perfectly cast than R. Lee Ermey? How was Vincent D'Onofrio NOT nominated for an Oscar for this breakout role? Why in the hell are there so many cartoon characters in this war movie? Steve has a theory about that last one.

Love it or not, Kubrick gives those in studio and Mazan Movie Club members chiming in at home plenty to talk about. This episode dedicated to Mary-Jane Rottencrotch.

Have two better looking guys ever starred together in a movie than Robert Redford & Paul Newman in "The Sting"?

Are Newman & Redford the best male pairing ever on screen?

Is this the best heist/con-movie ever?

Comedian Cash Levy joins Denise Mazan and host Steve Mazan in discussing this 1973 classic that brings George Roy Hill back to direct his old friends Butch & Sundance. Is this re-pairing better than the first?

Is "2001" another of Kubrick's masterpieces? Or a long, boring, tedious film?  We've got feelings on both sides this week.

The Irish Critic has her most opinionated review yet. And Mazan Movie Club members chime in on all angles. But on the LIVE recording we've got comedians Lang Parker from Last Comic Standing, James P. Connolly from Sirius/XM and Sam Demaris who is one of "Funny or Die's 15 Comics to Watch" all joining Steve from their comedy road trip.

What the hell is this movie about? Does it matter? Were the predictions dead on or way off? What's up with that giant baby? Listen in and laugh along.

Our first musical! Dancer Alicia Stoner joins Steve & Denise Mazan to sing & tap our way thru 1952's "Singin' in the Rain." It's #93 on the IMDB Top Movie list...should it be higher? Is this the best musical of all time?

Mazan Movie Club members join in live as well as send in some critiques that we share "on-air." Perhaps unsurprisingly everyone has a different favorite number in this movie...even our dog Kuma!

"When Harry Met Sally" "Clue" & "Grease" get thrown into the discussion, as well as how good looking Gene Kelly is. And how tall. Listen in & chime in.

The first animated movie on the list, 1995's groundbreaking "Toy Story"! Denise Mazan joins Steve, along with lots of MMC members chiming in LIVE. Other firsts, sure to show up again, on the list: Tom Hanks, Pixar and a great song by Randy Newman.

Which toys did you have that were in the movie? Where are all the fathers in this movie? Were the toys pretending when Andy was with them, or when he wasn't? Was Syd and his taste in Heavy Metal unfairly maligned?  All these questions get answered. Kind of.

Is this animated masterpiece the 94th best movie ever? (HINT: Steve thinks it should be way higher)

Who better to join Steve in discussing this masterpiece of Neo-realism than one of the smartasses from TMZ, Comedian Brian McDaniel. Also, returning guest Comedian/Filmmaker Eric Toms gives us trivia and his take on why this movie is so damn good 70 years later. It's 1948's "The Bicycle Thieves" from Italian Director Vittorio De Sica.

The Irish Critic (Steve's Mom) gives her thoughtful review and the live guests discuss the use of amateur actors, black & white, and if we got a happy ending or not. Would a bicycle lock have ruined this whole movie? Would it be called "The Segway Thieves" if it was made today. Listen in and find out.

Mazan's love British humor. And crime stories.  And Violence (well most of the family). So Guy Ritchie's 2000 film "Snatch" becomes a family affair as Steve's wife Denise joins in, as well as his sister, and as always mom: "The Irish Critic."
